Thomas K. Murphy for Alderman -at-Large

Thomas K. Murphy is a lifelong North Tonawanda resident and retired North Tonawanda Educator.  He was a proud member of the North Tonawanda United Teachers Union and coached the NTHS 1988 NYS Championship Softball Team.  He worked at the City Recreation Department with the youth of North Tonawanda for over four decades.

T.K. Murphy is running for the At-Large Council Seat because he recognizes that North Tonawanda deserves strong leadership that listens to the community and works to improve the lives of every resident.  As a 30+ year Health and Science teacher in the North Tonawanda Public Schools, he understands the challenges that North Tonawanda families face.

Equity, economic responsibility, and community are Murphy’s core values.  He strongly believes that everyone’s voice needs to be heard and respected, regardless of their background or income. He will prioritize transparency and building trust with the residents of North Tonawanda. He will work hard to ensure that our tax dollars are spent efficiently and that we invest in areas that directly benefit working people, such as expanding public services and improving our parks and schools.
